1 Rear header
This reinforcing roof component is manufactured with ultra-high efficiency using our multiple-piece production system. In addition, we utilize trimming-free operations for improved yield rates in pursuit of thoroughgoing cost reductions.
2 Roof reinforcement
Serving as reinforcing members for the roof, these parts are manufactured using 100-kg-class, high-tensile-strength steel plates. Futaba Kogyo achieves ultra-high production efficiency using the multiple-piece production system and utilizes trimming-free operations for improved yield rates in pursuit of thoroughgoing cost reductions
3 Roof rail reinforcement
These reinforcing components are attached to both sides of the roof and affect overall body rigidity. High-tensile-strength steel plates are used for purposes of product functionality, and thorough springback analysis is conducted to achieve high product quality.
4 Roof rail interior member
These reinforcing components are attached to both sides of the roof and affect overall body rigidity. We make use of simulation technology to achieve high product quality even with high-tensile-strength steel plate materials.
5 Fixing plate
This reinforcing member is attached to the sunroof opening. Futaba Kogyo uses simulation technology to assure sufficient curvature and precision, which are extremely important in this product. In addition, we utilize composite-mold manufacturing to reduce costs.
6 Front bumper reinforcement
This reinforcing component is attached to the inner portion of the front bumper and greatly influences collision performance and rigidity. We take part in development from the early stages onward and conduct performance verification testing at the Technical Center.
7 Rear bumper reinforcement
This reinforcing component is attached to the inner portion of the rear bumper and greatly influences collision performance and rigidity. We take part in development from the early stages onward and conduct performance verification testing at the Technical Center.
8 B-pillar interior member(B-pillar reinforcement)
Located in the center of the vehicle, this product requires high strength in order to resist collisions from the side. We propose switching from a single, integrated unit to multi-part units for this product to achieve cost reductions.
9 Fuel lid
The fuel lid covers the fuel filling port. As an external panel product, it requires high levels of precision and external appearance quality.
10 Fuel box
This product, which attaches to the fuel filling port, is visible when the fuel lid is opened. Drawing, a difficult forming technique, is used to create this component. As a semi-external panel product, it requires high-level dimensional accuracy and external appearance quality. During production, Futaba Kogyo handles application quantity, application location and temperature for sealer used to prevent entry of water from the outside.
11 Insulator
This component serves as a shield against heat from the muffler and attaches to the bottom of the car body. Compared to other aluminum insulators, our products achieve improved heat resistance and strength through the addition of dimples. At Futaba Kogyo, dimples are formed using the press die, enabling complete manufacturing in a single, shared press line. We also provide technological support for overseas manufacturing of this product.
