The Hofu Factory was established in January 2003 with the following three basic concepts, which represent a wide range of experience accumulated since Futaba Kogyo's founding.

1	Cheerful and comfortable factory environment in which it is easy to work
2	A factory that achieves world-leading, high-level efficiency
3	Strategic business center for the Kitakyushu area

The Hofu Factory produces cockpit module parts and auto body parts. Regarding instrument panel members, which fall under cockpit module parts, we simultaneously utilize the following three approaches in place of standard lot-based part delivery: part delivery in accordance with Mazda Motor Corporation manufacturing processes (broad sequence delivery); delivery in sets according to pick lists; and use of AGVs (automated guided vehicles) for unstaffed, automated delivery of parts. The Hofu Factory represents Mazda's first use of this system.
